SEEKING SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
In early 2024, Catalyst Technical Solutions expanded its business to upgrade, operate, and maintain onsite environmental remediation processing plants. The existing plants are very dated in terms of their technical ability and limited to being ‘on-grid’. Catalyst Technical Solutions requires that these plants be modernized to achieve several goals that support our business needs. Those goals include:
Research how to reduce energy usage of the plant as a whole with the end goal of having the plants run completely off-grid via solar power.
Redesign plants to make the most use of state of the art technology. This must include complete remote monitoring and control of the entire plant. This should be achieved using satellite communications links such that the plant can be located completely off-grid.
To achieve these goals Catalyst Technical Solutions requires the expertise of an electrical engineer with the following skills:
Ability to create functional designs for small process plants that have multiple fluid pumps, motors and control valves.
Ability to design all power requirements for the plant-in a manner conducive to using off-grid (electrical solar) systems.
Ability to use 3D CAD to create simulations of designs for functional correctness-preferably in Autodesk Fusion 3D.
Ability to design PLC logic to operate the plant. Must perform functional testing to ensure simulations match actual performance.
Ability to supervise electricians in the implementation of PLC programs, motor, pump, control system installation.
Ability to work closely with other engineers in the design, testing and troubleshooting of PLC systems.
Create all necessary system technical documentation for all design and testing.
Ensure all designs meet or exceed all relevant electrical safety standards throughout all anticipated jurisdictions.
